TRACK 1: Computational Biology in Drug Discovery and Biotechnology |
The growing importance of computational methods in biomedicine and
biotechnology was recently underscored by the Nobel Prize in
Chemistry, which recognized advancements in protein design and
structure prediction. These breakthroughs, driven by computer
simulations and machine learning, are reshaping computational
biology, with profound implications for drug discovery, disease
modeling, and the development of new therapeutic strategies.
This track will explore the application of computational tools,
including molecular dynamics simulations, machine learning, and
artificial intelligence, to a wide range of challenges in
biomedicine and biotechnology. Topics will cover areas such as the
development of novel biomaterials, personalized medicine, and gene
editing technologies. Attendees will gain insights into how these
technologies are being integrated into both research and clinical
practice, advancing the fields of healthcare and biotechnology.
